21 StrongThrough the acceptance and respect of all individuals, we allow everyone to thrive and their gifts to shine. ~21 Strong

"When I was 18 weeks pregnant I found out Will had Down Syndrome. After being told this, I was in complete shock. The doctors gave me no positive information on DS and I was almost encouraged to have an abortion. I came home and googled DS and 21 Strong came up on my page. I looked at the website and looked at parent’s profiles and pictures of their children and decided to call "Susan" and leave a message. Within 24 hours she returned my call and my life changed for the best from that phone call. We chatted for about 2 hours and she listened to all my worries about DS. She invited me to a 21 Strong "Bouncing Bears" event a few weeks later. I turned up with my husband and my mum. As soon as I walked into the room I felt like I had known everyone for years!!! It was amazing and these people were amazing. The people I spoke to gave me the ups and downs info about having a child with DS. However, watching all the kiddos playing I knew it was going to be ok. The people I met that day and new ones since then have become my lifelong friends. I will be forever grateful that I made contact with Susan and for all the support 21 Strong gave me leading up to the birth of Will and over the last 4 years."
