Amber Skye

Amber Skye was born in April 2010, and has an older brother who is 14 years older than her, named Devan.  She is a firecracker - and there is no stopping her!  She wants to do everything she sees!

Her favorite things are: Her family and friends, animals, Christmas, Barney, Sesame Street, Disney, reading, music, painting and swimming.

2019 Year in Review - 9 Years Old

Amber is enjoying fourth grade. She participated in the Miss Amazing pageant, her first competition in Special Olympics gymnastics, and continues to love her weekly swim lessons. She is still involved in Girl Scouts, and loves selling cookies. Amber currently loves Aladdin and Frozen II. She likes to act out the parts ... perhaps she should get involved in theatre?

Amber also likes helping give Down Syndrome Awareness talks at her school. She loves any opportunity to talk about herself and to teach others that she is more alike than different!

2017 Year in Review - 7 Years Old

Amber is now 7 years old and still loves swimming, started Special Olympics gymnastics at CT Tumblers in Guilford and joined the Girl Scouts Daisy troop at her school.  She also learned to ski! She can ice skate much better...starting to go without holding onto the sides.

She finally is pedaling on her bicycle! With training wheels but she is SO happy she can be like the big kids!

She loves Moana... a lot.

When Amber is determined to do something - she keeps going.... she gets frustrated and I've seen her push past through so many times.
